We at Fitness Luxe firmly believe in working hard and playing harder, summer is the best time to play! If you’re drawing blanks on where to go on your next great adventure, why not try Costa Rica? Here are just a few things you can do in this tropical paradise:

The majestic Arenal and its smaller inactive sister Chato are one of the most active volcanoes in Costa Rica. Take an invigorating hike through lush rain forest trails and lava fields which are 3.4 and 2 km respectively. The National Park also offers sky treks, horseback riding, river rafting, and waterfall rappelling. At the foot of the volcano, you can indulge at luxurious hot spring resorts or shop and see the sights at the friendly town La Fortuna.

Rafter’s Paradise: Turrialba

An adrenaline junkie’s heaven, Turrialba offers a wealth of outdoor activities including volcano hiking, horseback riding, and most importantly, rafting. With two incredible powerhouse rivers, Turrialba is famous for its white water rafting. If you enjoy a challenge, Turrialba is the place to go.

The best beaches in Costa Rica are preserved in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica’s smallest national park. With a sprawling strip of restaurants, spas, and luxury resorts outside, Manuel Antonio is a popular tourist spot. It may be hard to find a spot on the beach.

The locals call this surfer’s haven “Little Hawaii” for a reason. Playa Avellana’s waves can reach up to eighteen feet, an ideal destination for experienced surfers.
